We launched conversion rate and speed optimization for Bolt Craft Manufacturing on February 5, 2025, 70 days from contract on November 27, 2024: CTA prominence, search usability across devices, and performance, all on the client’s existing WordPress site at boltcraftmfg.com.
Enhance website performance and user experience by optimizing key conversion points, improving design elements, and integrating trust-building features to increase user engagement and drive higher conversion rates.
Bolt Craft Manufacturing, a leading fastener manufacturer, recognized the need to boost its website’s effectiveness at converting visitors into customers and leads. Before this initiative, challenges such as low call-to-action visibility, underutilized lead capture opportunities, and friction in key user flows like product browsing and checkout limited the site’s performance. We targeted these pain points by refining design, improving usability with sticky navigation and CTAs, enhancing forms, and embedding trust signals. Through these enhancements, we aimed to produce a faster, more intuitive site experience resulting in increased customer confidence and conversion outcomes.
We enhanced and repositioned call-to-action elements to improve visibility and encourage higher click-through and conversion rates.
We developed targeted lead generation strategies with secondary CTAs to capture potential customers more effectively.
We redesigned and improved site forms using tools like Wufoo to enhance usability and reduce submission friction.
We added sticky menus and sticky Add to Cart buttons on both desktop and mobile platforms to improve navigation and accessibility.
We incorporated credibility-building elements on critical pages including checkout and contact pages to boost user confidence and trust.
We streamlined the user experience on product pages and checkout flows to remove barriers and create smoother user journeys.
Left side: the store as the Wayback Machine captured it in Sep – Oct 2024, on WordPress. Right side: the live WordPress store, captured Oct 2026.
The Wayback Machine did not keep the site’s icon font, the logo image or the stylesheet version the November 2024 pages referenced, so the archived product and category pages are rendered with the October 2024 copy of that same stylesheet and show empty boxes where icons were.
The October 2024 homepage had a green contact bar, the logo, an account icon and a Request Quote button, an eight-item grey menu with Free Sample, and a U-bolt hero reading Custom fastening solutions for agricultural OEMs with Partner With Us and Free Sample Kit buttons over a four-badge trust strip. The homepage today puts a full-width Search Products box between the logo and Request Quote, drops Free Sample from the menu, and runs one Partner With Us button under a longer headline over the same four badges.
Why it matters. Search usability across devices and CTA prominence were the first two items in the brief.

In September 2024 the Carriage Bolt Grade 5 Zinc page showed a From $0.15 price, a short description, Diameter, Length and Packaging dropdowns, a quantity stepper with the SKU, a full-width green Add to cart and an outlined Add to quote; the product photo did not survive in the archive. The same product now lives on shop.boltcraftmfg.com as a list of sizes across seven pages, each row with an item number, Item Specs, a per-each price, Qty Avail, a Qty box and a green Add button, with Diameter, Thread Pitch, Material, Finish and Length filters on the left and QuickNav, Quick Order and Log In in the header.
Why it matters. The brief called for streamlining product pages and the add-to-cart path so buyers hit fewer barriers.

The October 2024 Bolts page had the black banner, a Home / Product breadcrumb, a Price slider from $0 to $517 and a Showing all 8 results bar with grid and list toggles and a Relevance sort; two of the product photos were missing in the archive. The live page keeps the banner, adds a home icon to the breadcrumb, highlights Products in the menu, and replaces the slider with Quotes Responded To In One Hour, 100% OEM Satisfaction Guarantee and Secure Payments Guaranteed badges above the same eight-result grid.
Why it matters. Trust signals on critical pages were a named deliverable, and the report credits them with more confidence during purchase flows.
