Google AdWords Expert

These days it seems everyone fancies himself a Google AdWords expert. A blogger spends an hour or so studying the Google Engage program, and suddenly he feels he is qualified to hang out a shingle and advise you on your pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.

There is a lot more to PPC than simply understanding the difference between a broad match and a phrase match. Make sure your so-called PPC expert has real-world experience and can also tell you what that difference has meant in revenue for an actual campaign he has managed.

How to Improve Online Business Using Google SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and PPC

If you want to improve online business, you should begin with optimizing your site. Study your analytics to see what works, test to see what might work better, and then apply your findings to targeted search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.
1. Build your marketing funnel in Google Analytics.

Google lets you create goals on your account that record when visitors complete certain activities, like signing up for your email list or viewing a product page. If you establish goals that track customer movement through the sales process, you will learn where you lose customers.

Using PPC to Increase Site Traffic

A pay per click (PPC) campaign is designed to increase site traffic. If properly executed, it can dramatically increase your sites conversions and productivity. While a PPC campaign is designed to increase site traffic, what’s the point of all that extra traffic if none of it turns into conversions? Conversions happen when someone who visits your site does something you want them to do – like buying a product, setting an appointment, or signing up for an email newsletter. If your PPC campaign isn’t properly executed, you may still get lots of site traffic, but no additional business from it. So, how do you properly execute a PPC campaign so that it increases your site traffic and provides you with quality conversions?

How to Create a PPC Ad

Ad groups are made up of your various ads and keywords.  They help you to target the specific areas and users that are using the terms within your ad campaign.  A well-categorized campaign will help you better target your audience so that you can get quality clicks that are more likely to become conversions.  And conversions are what define a successful PPC campaign.

Bing Grows in Search Market Share

According to the most recent data from comScore, Bing’s market share grew 0.3% in just one month, from September to October this year. Does this perhaps signal that it produced more relevant results than Google in the lead up to the holiday season? It took some time, but now Bing is seeing its market share grow.

Google also grew 0.2% during the same time frame, but surely the giant is pouring all over this data to find out what Bing is doing right. It has been a while since any search engine in the USA made gains against Google; Yahoo, Ask and AOL all lost ground during that month. The possibility of Yahoo’s major decline has even become a foregone conclusion in some circles.
