In order for a pharmaceutical company to acquire sales from online leads, search engine and click-through traffic must be flowing to the website. In order to get that targeted traffic, your website needs to first be visible to the right audience.

Search Engine Optimization Marketing
Search Engine Optimization is the process of utilizing search engine marketing to promote a website resulting in highly visible organic listings on major search engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing. Generally speaking, the more frequently and higher a site appears in the search results, the more visitors the site will receive via the search engine. There are 2 effectively utilized forms of search engine marketing: Organic Listings and Pay per Click (PPC). Pay per click is an advertising model used on many search engines where advertisers pay the search engine when the ad is clicked and for prime positioning on the search engine site. If you take a look at Google, you may notice that there are a few listings posted on the side of the search results and there may even be listings in a shaded color at the top of the search page. These are the PPC listings which are usually sponsored ads.

Social Media and Blogging for SEO
Social Media and blogging are two ways to help drive your search engine optimization (SEO) strategy. Before diving into how this works, let’s look at what SEO is and how it can help your business.
Search Engine Optimization
SEO is a long and involved process that can help you to rank higher in a Google, Yahoo or any search index. Search results for a specific term can be made up of millions of pages, and if your site doesn’t fall on the top, it isn’t going to be visible. In fact, fewer and fewer people are sorting through indexes past the first page. Most won’t even scroll down to the bottom of the search results page. So, it’s absolutely vital that you appear as high as possible on that first page, so that your business can get more traffic, more leads and more productivity from a search index.

SEO Friendly Website Redesign
If you’re conducting a website redesign, you should take steps to make sure that your new site is SEO friendly. How would you know if your site is ready for a redesign, and what would you need to do to make your site SEO friendly if it was?
Who Should Redesign?
If you’re a business that’s still using the same site you launched five or more years ago, you may want to consider doing a redesign. Web 2.0 is so much more user friendly, along with all the other changes and upgrades to internet technology. You’re doing a disservice to your current clients – and you’re missing out on potential clients – if you don’t revamp your site and implement some of these upgrades.

Bing Grows in Search Market Share
According to the most recent data from comScore, Bing’s market share grew 0.3% in just one month, from September to October this year. Does this perhaps signal that it produced more relevant results than Google in the lead up to the holiday season? It took some time, but now Bing is seeing its market share grow.
Google also grew 0.2% during the same time frame, but surely the giant is pouring all over this data to find out what Bing is doing right. It has been a while since any search engine in the USA made gains against Google; Yahoo, Ask and AOL all lost ground during that month. The possibility of Yahoo’s major decline has even become a foregone conclusion in some circles.

Alternative to Google AdWords

So, it wasn’t always worth your money to go somewhere other than Google Adwords for a Sponsored Search Marketing campaign.
