Google AdWords Expert

These days it seems everyone fancies himself a Google AdWords expert. A blogger spends an hour or so studying the Google Engage program, and suddenly he feels he is qualified to hang out a shingle and advise you on your pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.

There is a lot more to PPC than simply understanding the difference between a broad match and a phrase match. Make sure your so-called PPC expert has real-world experience and can also tell you what that difference has meant in revenue for an actual campaign he has managed.

Pay Per Click Keyword Management

When running a pay-per-click advertising campaign, you must juggle several variables carefully to ensure your company is getting the best return on its investment. A pay-per-click keyword management specialist can keep an eye on your advertising strategy and ensure the money you spend actually leads to paying customers.

Basic Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising

Pay-per-click advertising allows businesses to create highly targeted text ads to appear on the search engine results page (SERP) for certain keywords, and these businesses only pay when prospects actually click on the ads.

Ad pricing is determined by competitive bidding on keywords, with the higher bidders achieving higher and more frequent appearance on the SERPs.

Pharmaceuticals Internet Marketing

Just like a lot of industries, the Internet has revolutionized the way pharmaceuticals are sold today. It used to be that promoting your pharmaceutical drugs was just a matter of placing ads in local newspapers or magazines, or even a broadcast medium such as television or radio, and the world beat a path to your door, or at least that’s the way it worked in theory. Not anymore. Whereas in the past print and broadcast mediums were the prime methods of promotion, the Internet has given way to more and often better methods of promotion.

What is Click Fraud?

Business owners who advertise with pay per click advertising (PPC) must stay constantly vigilant of click fraud, an internet scheme which can quickly deplete your advertising budget. Also known as click spam, click fraud involves a false inflation of the number of clicks on an ad. Fraudulent clicks are any clicks on a pay per click ad that happened where the intention is not interest in the ad’s content, but to cause a charge to the advertiser. Often these false clicks are automated, but sometimes the clicks come from individuals (occasionally paid). Click fraud is criminal; however, this hasn’t stopped the proliferation of increasingly sophisticated click fraud schemes, and it can be a hard crime to prove and prosecute.

Corporate SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

Many corporations are looking to Search Engine Optimization to more efficiently target the marketplace.  Budgets have been trimmed, even slashed, for traditional marketing approaches such as TV / Radio, Print, Direct Mail, Telemarketing, etc.  All of these approaches are “outbound” relying on mass media or mass coverage with the hope of converting a micro percentage (less than 0.1%) of those actually buying something.  At the same time online marketing budgets have been increased, even during these tough economic times.
