The concept of B2B marketing is as old as commerce itself. B2B marketing stands for business to business marketing and is essentially self explanatory. It should not, however, be confused with B2C marketing which stands for business to consumer marketing. The former focuses its marketing strategy on businesses while the latter sells products and services directly to the consumer. B2B marketing has evolved significantly since the first World’s Fair (originally titled Great Exhibition of the Works of Industry of All Nations) which was held in London in 1851.

Blocking Employee Productivity
Many companies block access to websites they deem harmful to employee productivity, but Procter & Gamble’s recent bans have another rationale … wasted resources. The firm’s actions echoing the sentiments of many businesses that are seeing their bandwidth stretched too thin by extracurricular activities they’ve deemed “not business-critical.” Their actions aren’t anything new; many major corporations have banned websites for a variety of reasons, so why is there so much buzz around this story?
What Jet Blue Can Teach You about Reputation Management
Jet Blue is an airline that has a problem. They are well known, tech-savvy and appeal to a younger demographic, but that isn’t what has their search results blossoming. Their spikes (save for one notable example of where they got it right) have come from employee meltdowns and their flubbed or muted responses.
In the Internet age, response is everything. In keeping mum on situations where your employees have effectively put your entire company in danger by alienating or putting customers in harm’s way, you allow a growing mob to speak for you. Suffice to say; what they’re going to post isn’t going to help your brand. So what to do about it?

SEO Placement
Everyone is looking for the Holy Grail of Search Engine Optimization (SEO): that exact combination of words and tags that will propel a page to the top of the rankings. As a consequence, Google keeps changing its algorithm to prevent people from using technological tweaks to trump user experience in the search engines.
SEO placement techniques will always be a balance of providing content that is useful for searchers along with the digital clues that search engine bots can recognize. Unfortunately, many websites that fail to deliver quality content try to find shortcuts by manipulating the search engine bots. Sometimes, their tactics will succeed in the short term, but Google’s constant updates always push towards a better, more useful experience for the searcher.
Corporate Internet Marketing – SEO for Corporations
The digital economy has never experienced a downturn. This is important to keep in mind when looking for ways to market your corporation in the 21st century. The old model of broadcasting a message to people unable to tune you out has been replaced by a strategy of building a search engine optimized (SEO) website and then inviting prospects to come and interact with your brand. Corporate Internet Marketing strategies are helping many companies thrive in an uncertain world.
SEO is crucial for Corporate Internet Marketing for three reasons: It turns the marketing funnel around to pull prospects into the stream, it builds recognition of your brand with searchers, and it helps manage your reputation in proactively.

What is Ambush Marketing?
In 1984, the Olympics became a self-sustaining entity when the International Olympics Committee (IOC) put on its first games that did not require public funding. They accomplished this by offering lucrative sponsorship contracts that provided exclusive rights to “official sponsors.” Unknowingly, they also gave birth to new advertising strategy known as “Ambush Marketing.”
Ambush marketing is an emotionally-charged phrase that refers to the practice of appearing to align a brand with an event for which that brand has not paid for the right to be a sponsor. Probably this practice had existed in some form long before 1984, but the sheer volume of money involved and the worldwide attention given Olympic events have led many to view the 1984 Olympic games as the origin of ambush marketing.

Twitter Tweets, Facebook Walls, and Stumbling Stumble!

A strong social media presence can be the determining factor between a successful online business and one that gets lost in translation. Having started as a way to keep in touch with the social happenings of your friends, the social media world has evolved into an all-encompassing media powerhouse. Companies are now able to make a lasting impression on their audience directly. No longer do businesses have to solely rely on the hope that consumers will see a billboard or read a magazine with their advertisement in it, but rather they are now able to communicate with their targets on a more direct level. With social media came other online services involving bookmarking sites for consumers to “stumble upon” for lack of a better term. Here the work is done for the consumer as they merely narrow down their interests and the information is compiled for them. Social media allows for consumers to be informed in half the time with half the work and all of the benefits.

SEO for Plastic Surgery
Plastic surgery is increasingly popular. New treatments, techniques, and tools are encouraging patients to consider plastic surgery as a viable option. Technology is changing the way we accomplish many tasks today. A great example of this? Most patients will find their plastic surgeons on the Internet.
Gone are the days when people exclusively used the Yellow Pages to find medical care providers. Simple word of mouth in small social circles can no longer compete with the instant power of the World Wide Web. The Internet is where plastic surgeons will cultivate a huge portion of new customers. Competition is wild and fierce. It’s not enough to have a stellar website. Doctors need targeted traffic and lots of it. Quality websites need quality search engine optimization or SEO.
Doctor Internet Marketing
Today’s doctors cannot afford to ignore the internet and the need to market their practices through search engines. Often, patients and consumers will research a doctor and the doctor’s specialty before contacting a physician for an appointment. As a result, it is important for doctors to be aware of the need for a website and search engine optimization (SEO).
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Search engine optimization is the method of creating an internet presence which increases website traffic and, ultimately, increases the visibility of your business and services. For doctors, SEO is important because in many cases, patients’ first impression of you and your level of knowledge and expertise will be based on the information they see on your website or on the internet.

Internet Marketing or E-marketing; Which is Better?
There are roughly three schools of thought within the marketing industry, as to what e-Marketing means. Each of the three are explained below.
The basic or entry level school of thought uses e-Marketing interchangeably with internet marketing, and alleges that e-Marketing and internet marketing are essentially the same thing. They both cover a very broad range of marketing platforms, media, tools and strategies. This view of e-Marketing interprets “electronic marketing,” as all marketing methods used on the web; everything from search marketing and SEO to social media, PPC and paid ads, and any other marketing method or tool available online.
