Web Marketing Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Marketing must be customized solely for your business. Out of the box solutions do not work with web marketing. A little about search engine optimization: search engine optimization is the process of promoting an internet website to result in a highly visible listing on the major search engines including Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. There are 2 notable forms of search engine marketing. These two forms are SEO of Pay per Click (PPC).

SEO listings, otherwise known as organic or natural listings, represent the top 10 most relevant web pages for the keyword being searched on the search engines as rated by Google. The results of these searches are earned through successful SEO and no money is paid for relevancy or ranking to Google.

SEO Friendly Shopping Carts

Just as with websites in general, online shopping carts are of little value if they aren’t SEO or Search Engine Friendly.  If you can’t be found online or your products can’t be found online, your store is just in your imagination.

Writing “Search Engine Friendly” SEO Content

Writing “Search Engine Friendly” SEO ContentThere is a fine line between content that is reader friendly and content that is search engine friendly; learning how to blend the two together is one of the keys to obtaining high Search Engine Rankings. Many website owners make the mistake of assuming that just because their content is well written and easy to read, they will automatically see an increase in their rankings. Instead, content must be properly formatted, and written with an understanding of how search engine spiders work and how search engines rank websites. It’s impossible to have one without the other. Content that is poor, but has excellent SEO work won’t get good page / site interaction, and great content that’s badly optimized won’t show up for people to read in the first place.

Why Keyword Density is Important

Keyword densityImproving keyword density on a website is an important consideration when creating website content as well as adding new content (articles, blog posts, etc) towards increasing search engine results. It is important that you understand why keyword density is important, and what it means to your website. Keywords are words that regular internet users use in order to search for information on the internet. Searchers punch these keywords or keyword phrases into the search engine, looking for specific results.

Users Are the Only Real Metrics That Matter

The most important metrics involve what users do once they land on your site. From a web development perspective, that is the key to making sales.

One thing that always bugs me is that when website owners and developers attempt to fix problems of a site, the solution they gravitate to is more search engine friendly than user friendly

Search engines don’t buy any products, or fill out lead forms, but people do. So designing a site that is search engine friendly should always come 2nd to designing a site that is user friendly.  Every site’s goal should be to please the end users first.

Search Around the World — The Google Reality

It is now estimated that there are over 1.5 million searches conducted worldwide EVERY MINUTE!  With the exception of China, Google dominates around the world just the same way it has in the US since its inception about a decade ago.

This ongoing and still evolving domination worldwide by Google sets the stage for US Marketers to increasingly target foreign customers.  The world is getting smaller by the minute and Google is a major driver.  Successful US online marketers can and will become successful international marketers by duplicating its online presence on the dozens of Google Search Engines internationally.

Websites and User Friendly Web Designs

5 SECONDS … that’s how long you have to capture the attention of a website visitor.  Does your website convey trust, credibility and reliability within 5 seconds?  Site visitors are impatient people seeking immediate gratification … they want to ooh and ahh … even before the page is fully loaded.
