Internet Marketing or E-marketing; Which is Better?

There are roughly three schools of thought within the marketing industry, as to what e-Marketing means. Each of the three are explained below.

The basic or entry level school of thought uses e-Marketing interchangeably with internet marketing, and alleges that e-Marketing and internet marketing are essentially the same thing. They both cover a very broad range of marketing platforms, media, tools and strategies. This view of e-Marketing interprets “electronic marketing,” as all marketing methods used on the web; everything from search marketing and SEO to social media, PPC and paid ads, and any other marketing method or tool available online.

Avoiding Duplicate Content Issues

Did you know that creating pages, sub domains and sites with a substantial amount of duplicate content can be a back door path to getting banned from Google?

Let’s face it: no one wants to be banned from Google.. Any business seeking to gain access to its potential customers and / or leads in the online environment cannot afford to be excluded from the index pages of Google. With perhaps only 20% of the market shared between them, Bing and Yahoo are not viable alternatives by themselves for an internet marketing or SEO campaign that will bring profitability to your bottom line.

Optimum7 Sucks

Optimum7 has been in business since 2005, providing valuable SEO services to clients looking to expand their web presence and also looking to protect their reputations. The success and growth of our brand, and the satisfaction of all our clients has led us to believe that the one negative review claiming that we “suck”, which is being continuously posted on various sites is the handiwork of a sneaky competitor, disgruntled past employee, but most likely a former client that we are pursuing professionally for breach of contract who is out to damage our hard earned reputation. We do exactly what we say we do; the myriad of rave reviews posted by our clients on our website attests to that.

Automate Blog SEO

Blogging has been one of the major developments since the inception of the internet itself. Originally intended to be a simple journaling source for Internet users, an online diary, it quickly turned into a social networking tool, allowing interaction between the journalist and readers. A person can go online, share as much or as little of their actual, personal lives with the world, and put forth their opinions on everything from politics to candy bars. Blogs offer the ability to either interact with any number of people, or simply exist for the writer as a place to privately record their thoughts and experiences.

Is Email Marketing Effective?

The novelty of getting e-mail has long been dead. Factor that in with the rise of blogs, social media, RSS, and spam filters and it’s easy to see why so many people jump to the conclusion that marketing via email is also dead. Yet statistics are showing otherwise. The Direct Marketing Association forecasts that in 2010 email marketing will generate $42.08 for every dollar spent on it. Email marketing is certainly changing, but the jury is still out on whether it’s evolving or dying. The verdict depends on whether or not email marketers can respond to the changing internet landscape with the appropriate changes.

On the internet, social networking is the process and practice of individuals, businesses and other types of organizations to interact with each other through common web sites and specialized areas within those websites for the purpose of sharing, gaining, propagating and discussing all manner of information.

Search Engine Optimization Rules

search-engine-optimization1

There are many rules to Search Engine Optimization, if we mentioned all the rules here, I think it would easily take over 300 pages. Therefore, we will list the most important Search Engine Optimization Rules. These are all “Must Do” rules and should be the first tasks to complete in an SEO project.

  1. On Site Optimization – This was the only way SEO was possible in the 1990s. However, it’s still valid today. The Title of the page is the most important element on the site. “Meta Description” and “Meta Keywords” can still make a difference although some SEOs would disagree. In our experience, an “H1 Tag” and “Image Alt Tags” are essential as well. Of course, the competition should always be analyzed before making these edits or changes. Overall, the page must be relevant to the term which is targeted.
