How to Increase ROI on Your Website

How to Increase ROI on Your WebsiteAll commercial websites can increase their ROI by focusing on the following:

* Increasing Relevant Traffic to the Website
* Increasing Conversions

Increasing traffic can involve many online marketing elements.  However, a long term commitment to Organic Search Engine Optimization is the most important because it is Google and the other major search engines that are the portals of choice when seeking specific information.  Many web business owners have already taken steps to optimize their sites through use of SEO techniques, or PPC campaigns; however, if you are not on page 1 of Google or even not #1 on Google for your most important terms, you have a great opportunity to be seen by more people and get those people to land on your site.

Optimize Ad Spend and Conversions on Google AdWords

Optimize Ad SpendIn order to optimize ad spend and conversions on AdWords, you need to track your site information regularly. Google Analytics has some great tools for this, if you choose to go through Adwords — which makes sense, since Google has about seventy percent of the market. But the important thing is that you track your site’s statistics, no matter how you do it.

Check to see which keywords are getting the highest click-through rates. How much traffic is entering your site via alternate sources, and what sources are they?

    Landing Page Optimization Tips

Landing Page Optimization TipsCreating a great and targeted PPC (Pay per Click) campaign is only the beginning towards driving traffic, generating leads and increasing conversions. The initial seconds after someone has clicked your ad are the most important towards convincing the visitor that they should stay on your page and navigate through your site. Optimizing a landing page is not just about aesthetics; it also is about understanding the user, his reason for clicking your ad and, of course, relevance and functionality.

Why Your Site is NOT Converting

Why Your Site is NOT ConvertingAfter all of the Internet Marketing is in place, specifically Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media Optimization (SMO), it really doesn’t mean much if your site is not converting.  In other words, the bottom line is still the bottom line.  When your website visitors land on your site, are they clicking on the things you want them to click on?  Are they landing on the pages you want them to land on?  Are they filling in the forms you want them to fill in?  Are they buying products?  Are they buying the most profitable products?  If you are not responding with an emphatic yes to each of these questions, then to some extent, your site is definitely not converting.

Increasing Conversions on an E-Commerce Site

Increasing Conversions on an E-Commerce SiteAs a woman I naturally love to shop but, believe it or not, I hate going to the mall, hunting for parking, and dealing with bad customer service.  In my opinion, a trip to the mall is time consuming and hectic. For me, online shopping is the best way to shop since you can do it from the comfort of your home while having time to research each item and make a better consumer decision. I buy a lot of items online; the only thing I probably haven’t purchased online are groceries and believe me if my local grocery store provided it, that’s exactly what I would do. I prefer it because shopping online is convenient, efficient, and informative.

SEO – A milestone … Not the Goal Line

    by Arthur Cooper

SEO (Search Engine Optimization), professionally executed, accomplishes an important piece of a very valuable puzzle towards a truly successful and profitable website marketing strategy.  Using strong research for the best keywords, insightful competitive research, onsite and offsite optimization using great content and careful management using sophisticated website statistics are key elements towards high organic rankings for targeted keywords relevant to your business.  Being easily found for these highly popular and competitive keywords generates huge amounts of traffic to the website.  Although all of this is a great accomplishment, page 1 Google rankings by itself doesn’t put a thin dime into your bank account.  So we have reached an important milestone; but now what?  How do we generate business from all of this traffic?

    Converting Visitors to Buyers

Search Engine Marketing is only 50% complete when you start getting visitors to your website in volume due to successfully achieving high rankings for your targeted keywords. You now have visitors … now you need buyers.

No one knows on day one what will convert visitors to buyers. We know that the first objective is to get the attention of the buyer within a few seconds because that is all the time you have to “grab” the visitor. Website visitors have a short attention span and an even shorter level of patience to find what they are looking for. After all, they are just one click away from looking for someone else.

How to Keep Your Customers Coming Back

If your website has a goal, that is, sales made through an online ecommerce site, lead generation, phone calls, surveys that are completed, then you probably have put some significant effort in time and expense towards winning that client… and it all started with a conversion.

If you have been in business for any length of time, you should probably already know what a big percentage of NEW sales actually come from EXISTING customers.  If you are doing a good job, this is most certainly the case.  This should make sense; customer buys product or uses your service and you have provided the value, and hopefully more, than the client expected.  Important customer-relationship dynamics take hold … trust, confidence, peace of mind and convenience all grow in your favor.
