Search Engine Optimization Marketing

Search Engine Optimization is the process of utilizing search engine marketing to promote a website resulting in highly visible organic listings on major search engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing. Generally speaking, the more frequently and higher a site appears in the search results, the more visitors the site will receive via the search engine. There are 2 effectively utilized forms of search engine marketing: Organic Listings and Pay per Click (PPC).  Pay per click is an advertising model used on many search engines where advertisers pay the search engine when the ad is clicked and for prime positioning on the search engine site. If you take a look at Google, you may notice that there are a few listings posted on the side of the search results and there may even be listings in a shaded color at the top of the search page. These are the PPC listings which are usually sponsored ads.

Brand Management

Brand management is the combination of methods that effectively mold the opinion of the public about the reputation of your company.  Brand management helps to protect and promote the image of your business so that customers and investors will have confidence in your company.  Trust is an important part of any business.  Businesses should take every possible measure to ensure that their clients trust them.  A lack of trust will develop a lack of business.

What Affects My Conversion Rate?

A conversion for your site can be just about anything. It can be getting someone to stay on your site for more than a specific period of time, it can be a lead generated by your site, it can be getting someone to sign up for an email subscription, or it can be an actual purchase . Your conversion rate refers to your ability to make those things happen – i.e. how many people visit your site versus how many of them convert(or do what you intended them to do).

Search Engine Copywriting

Writing just to attract the search engine robots does not work anymore in SEO. Neither does churning out content that is loaded with nonsensical terms and your company name repeatedly. Believe it or not, Google’s sophisticated algorithms can distinguish between low quality content versus content that has substance, not to mention that the users will be able to also identify bad content.

Over the last few years, content farms posing as SEO (Search Engine Optimization) marketing companies have preyed on businesses who want to be successful in the online marketplace, but whose personnel doesn’t necessarily have the internet technology expertise to determine what it will take or even that  they are being duped.

Google Keywords

It is strange to think, but the day has come when the power of words can no longer be contrasted with the power of actions. The old adage, “The pen is mightier than the sword” has never been truer for online businesses. Not just in terms of cause marketing either; unless you are new to e-commerce, the general consensus is that it is well worth your ad dollars to bid for words and in general compete for them.

Social Media Legal Rules

Back in the old days, companies were always leery of jumping on technologies and new mediums that they perceived would damage their security and drive down employee productivity. Many still are. When telephones first came out, employers thought they should never have one on each employee’s desk, because then they would call people all day. When personal computers were new, many of the employees had to share them or they weren’t allowed to have personal disks, because employers were afraid that employees would not spend their time doing company business, or would leave the premises with copyrighted, proprietary information and take it straight to their competitor. Then there were company laptops, company cell phones and being able (or unable) to access the internet at work. The cry was still the same: employees will stop working and security will be compromised.

Hotel Websites and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

In the past 10 years Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotels.com, Priceline and other sites have revolutionized the travel industry. By providing the rates of thousands of hotels, users can select their ideal place to stay without traipsing all over the internet. However, this service has hurt local hotels, as they often can’t afford the fees involved with listing their information on these popular sites. However, if you’re a local hotel owner, don’t despair! By using search engine optimization (SEO) you can drive traffic directly to your business, and avoid ever having to advertise with travel sites.
