Release of the New Google Chrome OS

Release of the New Google Chrome OSGoogle has been the premiere search engine for some time now.  Over recent years, they have been trying to broaden their reach by offering new technology.  Nine months ago they released Google Chrome, an internet browser, and more recently they released their Google Chrome Operating System.. The Google Chrome Browser has been a success allowing users to organize their bookmarks, search from their toolbar, keep thumbnails of your most visited sites, and it allows for a private browsing history with a special search window. For someone who utilizes the web 24/7, Google Chrome is a great tool to have. Naturally, Google felt that releasing Google Chrome OS would be the next step.

Popular standard operating systems are Windows, Mac, and Linux but Google feels that these traditional operating systems were created at a time when web was not as significant to a computer user. Today, more times than not, the sole purpose of someone getting on a computer is to get internet access. Google’s new operating system is an open source; lightweight system meant for net books, users on the go but can also work with full size desk top computers.

Google has been a pioneer in allowing us to work from anywhere in the world on our computers. They already have docs.google.com that allows you to create spreadsheets, documents, presentations, folders, etc. that are easily exported and shared with an email subscription. Many new companies today are less traditional in regards to where their business is run. Optimum7 has embraced this new “paperless and work from anywhere concept” allowing us to have two geographically separate, fully functional offices without skipping a beat. A company that is just beginning should look into this method of saving / sharing files for easier functionality and communication between employees.

Google Chrome OS will be available to consumers in 2010. The goal of Google Chrome OS is speed, allowing you to connect to the internet quickly, simplistic in its design, and most importantly, better security when surfing the internet. The point is that an operating system should work without having to slow you down with viruses and tons of security updates.

What does this mean for internet marketing? It means that the industry of internet marketing is continually growing and that Google is an SEO staple that is here to stay. It’s a sign that the way people communicate around the world, whether it is for business or pleasure, has changed but its full potential still has not been reached. The web is becoming more accessible to more people every day and the ocean of websites and information online will just get larger. It’s important to make yourself visible in the search engines, and most importantly on Google which will grow and cater to more than just search engine users.
