These days it seems everyone fancies himself a Google AdWords expert. A blogger spends an hour or so studying the Google Engage program, and suddenly he feels he is qualified to hang out a shingle and advise you on your pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.

There is a lot more to PPC than simply understanding the difference between a broad match and a phrase match. Make sure your so-called PPC expert has real-world experience and can also tell you what that difference has meant in revenue for an actual campaign he has managed.

Google Adwords Keyword Tool

One of Google’s most profitable products  is AdWords. It is a major sponsored search platform that allows users to capitalize on targeted keyword research. Implementing a solid internet marketing campaign may need to include the use of pay per click (PPC) techniques.

Keywords

Users input search terms or keywords in search engines and expect results that are relevant. These are quality sites that have the information and answers they are looking for. Search engines review their database to find relevant sites that will provide users with what they desire. The search engine ranks these sites in search engine results pages. Users typically click on sites that rank on the first page. If your site ranks highly on a search engine, the amount of users that visit your site is likely to increase. The development of your internet marketing campaign should begin with researching the terms that users are searching for.

If you want more traffic and conversions, you need to have a strong online marketing strategy. An effective marketing strategy might have to include sponsored search and several PPC (pay per click) strategies. These are paid ads that appear in the top and right column of search engine results pages.  Your ads are shown to the user if the search term is related to your ads and you only pay if a user actually clicks on your ad to go to your site.

When Is Google AdWords Necessary?

It’s important to have an understanding of what Google AdWords is and how it works. With AdWords, advertisers pick keywords they believe will be relevant to their website and their marketing strategies. They then bid on the keywords and phrases, with the highest bidders having their ads above the top search engine results (shaded in yellow) and/or along the right side of the first Search Engine Result Page (SERP). The cost per click (CPC) is then formulated according to how the bids were priced; what makes AdWords so unique, though, is the advertiser doesn’t pay for the placement itself. What’s paid for is each click on the ad that brings the web surfer to the advertiser’s optimized landing page.

Does Google Advertisement Work?

Does Google Advertisement Work? There is a lot of hype surrounding Google Advertisement through AdWords, but does their program live up to it all? This is a really important question to answer, as Google clearly leads all online internet advertising brands. Google’s PPC (Pay per Click) program works immediately to produce results that organic SEO can take months to achieve. However, in assessing Adwords, you must first define success.  Is Adwords your entire online marketing approach or is it part of a broader, more diversified set of strategies to promote your online business?  Is it a short, intermediate or long term strategy?  How many clicks does it take to make a sale?  What is your net profit / sale?  Is it worth it?  Clearly you have to answer these questions, be conservative and really do the math so that you know what success really looks like.

How Does Google Adwords Work?

How does Google Adwords Work? Google’s advertising network is referred to as Google AdWords. The way the Google Adwords network operates is by allowing advertisers to bid on an endless selection of keywords that they believe may be typed into the Google search engine in search of information. When an advertiser bids on a specific keyword, and they bid a high enough price, the result is that their ad will appear in a special segment of the search engine results pages for that keyword which is located both above the regular search engine results (shaded in yellow) and along the right side of the page as well.
